Q: Do I need to have my books in order before I reach out?
No. And this might be the most important thing on this page.
The whole point of the Books Reset is to go in and deal with the mess — however far back it goes, however tangled it is. You don’t need to clean anything up before we start. That’s my job. The version of you with organized finances exists on the other side of getting help, not before it.
Q: What if my books are really bad?
I’ve spent 15 years in healthcare settings where staying calm in genuinely chaotic situations was required. The financial mess doesn’t scare me. I’ve seen it before — and I know how to work through it steadily, without judgment, and without making you feel bad about how it got this way.
Honestly, the worse you think it is, the more you need to start. The longer you wait, the more there is to untangle.
Q: I’ve hired a bookkeeper before and it didn’t help. What makes this different?
The most common reason bookkeeping relationships don’t work isn’t inaccurate books — it’s reports that arrive and mean nothing to the person receiving them.
I work differently. Every monthly summary is written in plain language. Not accounting jargon. Not financial shorthand. The story of your month, explained the way I’d explain it on a call. If you can’t read it yourself, I haven’t done my job.
I also specialize exclusively in health and wellness coaches — which means I already understand your business model, your income patterns, and the specific expenses most coaches miss. You don’t have to educate me before we can start.
Q: I’m not making that much money yet. Is this for me?
There’s no revenue threshold for wanting to know what’s going on in your business.
The coaches who scale with financial confidence are the ones who built the foundation early — not the ones who waited until they were 'making enough.' The longer you wait, the more there is to untangle later. And every month without clean books is another month making pricing, hiring, and investment decisions from gut instinct instead of data.
Q: What does the onboarding process look like?
After our discovery call, you’ll receive a welcome email with clear instructions on what I need from you and what to expect next. You’ll grant me access to your QuickBooks (takes about two minutes) and send over any supporting documents we’ve discussed.
From there, I go to work. You don’t need to be involved during the process. I’ll reach out if I have questions. Otherwise, you’ll hear from me when your summary is ready or your review call is scheduled.
Q: How long does the Books Reset take?
Typically between one and three weeks, depending on how far back we need to go and the complexity of what’s there. I’ll give you a realistic timeline on our discovery call once I understand the scope.
Q: Do I need QuickBooks?
I work primarily in QuickBooks Online. If you’re not currently using it, we can discuss setup on our discovery call. If you’re using another platform, reach out and let’s talk — I’m happy to discuss options.
Q: What if I just want the Books Reset and not the monthly retainer?
That’s completely fine. The Books Reset is a standalone service with no obligation to continue. Many clients do move into the Monthly Clarity Retainer after their cleanup — because once the fog lifts, they want to keep it that way. But that’s always your choice.
Q: Will you work with my accountant?
Yes. Part of what the Monthly Clarity Retainer does is make your accountant’s job easier. When your books are current and your records are organized, tax season becomes a handoff instead of a scramble. I’m happy to communicate directly with your accountant as needed. And if you don’t have one, I can refer you to someone I trust.
Q: What if I have more questions?
Reach out. Seriously. I’d rather answer your questions now than have you sit on them. Send me a message from the contact page and I’ll get back to you within one business day.
Still have a question?
Send me a message. I read every one.
